738 ÷ 6 = 123: 7 hundreds gives 1 with 1 left over, then 13 tens, then 18 ones.
There are 8 boxes of pencils with 24 pencils in each box. How many pencils are there altogether?

8 × 24 = 192.
270 sweets are shared equally among 9 children. How many sweets does each child get?
Answer: 30

125 pupils sit 4 to a bench. What is the smallest number of benches needed to seat them all?
Answer: 32
125 ÷ 4 = 31 with 1 left over, and that last pupil still needs a bench, so 32 benches are needed.
53 ÷ 6 = 8 remainder ?
Answer: 5
8 × 6 = 48, and 53 − 48 = 5, so the remainder is 5.
