Answer: 5 h 45 min
08 35 to 14 00 is 5 h 25 min, then 20 min more: 5 h 45 min.
A flight left at 21 45 and took 5 h 15 min. What time did it land?
Answer: 03 00
2 h 15 min takes it to midnight, then 3 h more: 03 00.
How many seconds are there in 5 minutes?
Answer: 300
5 × 60 = 300 seconds.
How many minutes are there in 2 1/2 hours?
Answer: 150
2 × 60 = 120, plus 30 for the half hour, giving 150 minutes.
A journey started at 06 50 and took 2 h 35 min. What time did it end?
Answer: 09 25
2 h after 06 50 is 08 50, then 35 min more gives 09 25.
How many days are there from 25 March to 5 April inclusive of both days?
Answer: 12
25–31 March is 7 days, and 1–5 April is 5 days, giving 12 days in all.
A car travels 150 km at 60 km/h. How long does the journey take?

150 ÷ 60 = 2.5 hours, which is 2 h 30 min.

For p.m., add 12 to the hour: 11 + 12 = 23, giving 23 20.
A meeting ran from 13 15 to 16 05. How long was it?
Answer: 2 h 50 min
13 15 to 16 00 is 2 h 45 min, then 5 min more: 2 h 50 min.
